Rich Murphy has been the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at the University of Redlands for the past 17 years compiling an impressive 264-153 record (as of Jan. 31, 2024) and an even more impressive SCIAC record of 170-70 during his tenure.His kids play hard, smart and execute about as well as any basketball team can. His team’s were always a handful for my La Verne teams from 2010-2013 when we had to coach against each other, and I always remember them being epic battles.He’s one of the smartest basketball coaches you’ll find and one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.
